How to I pick which type of extensions are best for me?

There are many factors to consider for hair extensions, including your budget, lifestyle, maintenance expectations and overall goal for the installation. This is where our team can guide you through the process.

“Consultations are a must for extensions! Your stylist will provide you with different techniques that will be customized specifically to you.” – Jay

Why is Bellami [salon]718 preferred vendor for hair extensions?

“Bellami provides us with amazing quality hair. It’s easy to manage for everyday use.”– Jay

[salon]718 is a proud partner with Bellami Hair Extensions. Bellami offers the broadest color range of hair extensions in the market and are innovating to provide hair enhancement solutions for all hair types. What is the process to get color/texture matched at the salon? How do I order my hair?

During your consultation a stylist will use both a color swatch and a texture swatch to match your hair. Your stylist will complete your hair extensions estimate for the hair, by carefully calculating the amount of extension bundles, color(s) and length needed to achieve your goal. We will then take a payment for your hair order, complete the order and also secure your extension appointment with a deposit.

Are there more temporary extensions I can use for a special event?

“Yes, clip ins are great for one day wear! They can last YEARS with proper care and there is no maintenance. You can also bring them in when you come in for a blow-dry service to add some extra volume to your blowout.” – Tiffani

What is the upkeep for extensions? How often will I need to visit the salon?

Depending on the type of hair extensions, you will likely need to return to the salon every 4-8 weeks to have your extensions moved up and/or get a new installation. Your stylist will work with you to ensure your next appointment is prebooked before you leave to ensure you are on track from extension success.

“Don’t forget skipping appointments past the required move up time can lead to a new install or damaged hair.” – Ari

“It’s very important timelines are adhered to, and your stylists instructions are followed. It’s a team sport!” – Tiffani

Will extensions damage my hair/scalp?

“The biggest misconception is that extensions are damaging. While an incorrect installation can be, at [salon]718 with a correct install your success will rely on how you maintain them at home and ensuring you adhere to your scheduled appointments. Your stylist will provide you with the best method for your hair and if you follow all rules, you should have no problems at all.” – Jay

How long will extensions last?

Installations will last between 4-8 weeks depending on the type of extension you choose. The hair can be reused 2-3 times for i-tips and tape-ins, up to a year for sew-in wefts & clip-ins can last years if cared for properly.

How can I style my extensions at home?

With added volume and/or length your possibilities for styles are endless!

“Hair can be styled as desired at home. Treat the hair as your own – with care! Blow dry, curling iron, straightener – all are possible with extensions.” – Jay
